—THISOTHER IS CARO TRIGO—thisother is an artist, designer and researcher currently based in Los Angeles. She is interested in the tensions between performance, philosophy and politics as they relate to aspects of impurity, inter-dependency and transformability. Trigo received a B.F.A. from Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, an M.A in Philosophy—with Distinction—from the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, and is currently completing her Ph.D in Philosophy also at the European Graduate School
Her work has been exhibited in the U.S (Los Angeles and New York), Germany, Finland, Lithuania, Argentina and France. Trigo has taught at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) Mediascapes Program Visual Studies Program and SCIFI Graduate Program (all Master of Design Research Programs (MDesR), at UCLA Design and Media Arts, at Art Center College of Design, (all in Los Angeles), at the Tama Art University in Tokyo, Japan, and in Finland at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture Masters Degree Program in both the Department of Art and Research and the Department of Design. She has also taught at the University of Jyväskylä’s Masters Degree Program in Digital Culture at the Department of Art and Culture Studies. Trigo has lectured at Art Center College of Design, SCI-Arc, UCLA Design and Media Arts, the University of the Arts Helsinki (Theatre Academy), the Universidad de Mendoza in Argentina. (Mundaneum: International Meeting of Architecture and Design) and at Tama Art University in Japan.
